this week has been a busy one....getting ready for christmas and all. the christmas atmosphere seems to be everywhere, with all the lights and decorations, ppl pushing their way through the crowds looking for presents..etc. i've been to orchard 3 times this wk already...each time with the 'main' purpose of buying gifts. but somehow...we always end up doing something different. straying away from our goal. not that it is bad. just that i end up not getting the presents i need to buy. on the whole however, this week certainly has been enjoyable. =)

on another note, sch is going to start soon. one year has passed so fast. just in a blink of an eye. i can still remember the first day of jc life, where i had difficulty finding the sch. luckily i was with my secondary sch friend so it was not as nerve wrecking. in fact...i was pretty excited to go to a jc...it would be a totally different environment and i would be making new friends. the first day of sch was quite a mess, with students scattered everywhere, not knowing what to do...but it turned out alright in the end. i remember hearing pjc's sch anthem for the first time and i was very amazed at the catchy tune it had. it sounded like a song u would find on a cd or something. not very anthem-like...but i loved it! it was a very light song...a song that u won't be sick of (at least not anytime soon) ...since i've only heard it for 2+ mths. i also liked that sch uniform...particularly for the tie. i've never worn a tie in my entire life as part of my sch uniform and i thought it would be great to finally wear a tie. however, it seems that a tie and i don't go together. maybe i am a bit blur...because i went to ac after the 1st three mths thinking that i would be able to wear a tie. unfortunately, acjc ppl don't wear ties! =( the tie would have looked good as part of the uniform.

yupp...i think i should stop recounting. i started the above paragraph with the intention of saying only that i would be a senior next yr, and i ended up writing a different thing. time passes fast....one year older next yr! May everyone still feel young next yr! =)

it has been a long time since i posted...so there is quite a fair bit to post about.

1. my china trip....to shandong
went there for nine days. cant really rmb what i did there already ( heh....excuse the bad memory). my tour guide was quite an interesting person. very tolerant guy i must say....since some certain few tour mates have extremely low EQ and say things that ppl cannot tolerate. but a tour guide must always keep his cool...and...he did.

speaking about irritating tour mates....there was this one lady...a teacher...who said something insulting...extremely insulting. this happened a few days into the tour. we were on this boat thingy....and halfway...she walked over and started to 'chat' with me. she was saying something like...." aiyo ah...my students are so naughty...i'm teaching one of the naughtier and 'not so smart' classes. these naughty students all end up in acjc...the smarter ones will go to hc. "
can u believe she actually said that in my face?! tsk....such ppl have a knack at making enemies. and she KNOWS that i am from ac. sighs.

well....on to happier stuff. omg...we were fed sooo much food everyday!! think i put on a few kg already. :'( yes....we have at least ten dishes EVERY MEAL! each table had ten ppl . and my table always had about half the food left. it was just toooo much to finish. another thing wld be an interesting thing to know for those who like to drink beer. they give us 2 bottles of beer for every lunch and dinner. and one bottle of coke. so since i don't drink beer....i drink coke every lunch and dinner. ooh...corroded stomach. yes....the beer there is much cheaper than coke.

now...sightseeing. mainly climbed a mountain and saw some confucious house, temple and stuff like that. the usual when u go to china. the mountain air was nice! but very cold. think it was around -7 degrees C. wore a total of 5 layers at one time. FAT!

one thing to complain about this trip was the little shopping time given to us. the tour guide seemed to like rushing ppl from place to place even though we had quite a fair bit of extra time. so i didn't manage to buy much. mostly food.

overall....the trip was fun...but it would have been better if it snowed. falling snow just seems to avoid me. it snows in one city...AFTER i leave for another city. -sigh-

2. handicraft day...with some kids at...erm...some place.

was all prepared to spend a days with a couple of kids doing handicraft...but it did not turn out as i expected. was a bit unlucky that day because i was to take charge of this group of 3 girls with my friend. the bad part was the kids. not the friend. haha. this 3 girls ...or rather...the oldest of the lot seem to be a big shot at that place. she was pretty unfriendly to us and quite violent as well. during the session...she actually kicked another boy. wow. somehow i think she has a nice side ...on the inside and only with her friends around. think her violence has something to do with her erm...growing years. quite sad.

3. today....the day of the christmas celebration at the cc.
i was supposed to help out at the games stall ...so i ended up at the puzzle booth. tried the puzzles myself and i would just say that those who picked the easier puzzle are better off. easier to win a big prize. hehe. i sat there timing ppl...and in a blink of an eye...a few hrs passed and it was almost time to pack up. i must say that today was fun! haha...and we were given goodie bags. :)
we had to help clean the fake 'snow' off the doors. haha...i actually kind of slightly enjoyed cleaning them.

that's about it...can't think any longer. shall end here.
